I completely agree with you. All excellent points. I’m definitely interested in the cause as well — just couldn’t fully articulate it in this article. Perhaps when everything settles down time will put it into perspective, and I’ll be able to write about it more clearly.

Actually in general, I think the mental health service is broken, and many psychiatrists play God with patients. I actually wrote an article called “Iatrogenesis: How Health Professionals harm us” because there’s now strong evidence BPD is an iatrogenic illness — psychiatrists actually elicit symptoms by their ill-thought out treatment and pharmaceutical regime.

I guess for me personally, I feel let down by the system, but still trying to work out in my own mind what went wrong — because I also know there are also good people working, unfortunately they seem outnumbered by bad ones. However, even bad ones aren’t always intentionally malovelent just plain incompetent. For me it such a complex subject, I am still trying to forumulate my own ideas around it.
